Details
The Wild Benches of Hope is a free, public art exhibition by internationally acclaimed artists Gillie and Marc, on view at Faneuil Hall Marketplace from January 2026 through January 2027. The interactive installation features three large-scale bronze benches - The Reading Bench, The Green Bench, and The Teatime Bench - where visitors can sit alongside the artists’ beloved characters, Rabbitwoman and Dogman, and endangered animals including a giraffe, hippo, and elephant. Designed for all ages, the sculptures invite moments of curiosity, imagination, and connection during a visit to the Marketplace.
Presented in partnership with Zoo New England, the exhibition introduces families to important conservation themes in an approachable, engaging way - encouraging visitors to slow down, learn together, and feel inspired to protect wildlife near and far. Donate to Zoo New England today!
This marks a continuation of Faneuil Hall Marketplace’s new, long-term arts initiative aimed to connect Boston residents and visitors to a diverse range of public art.
