Join us Monday June 23rd for the Commonwealth Seminar's annual celebration “In the Room & At The Table” as we celebrate our 21st year of Opening the Doors of Government to Everyone and honor tireless and courageous "Champions of Inclusion" (TBA soon!).

We will also be celebrating Leverett Wing's milestone 10th Anniversary as the Executive Director of the Seminar. Under Leverett's leadership, the Seminar has grown to include nearly 2,000 alumni from over 150 cities & towns throughout Massachusetts and the nation.

Since 2003, Seminar alumni have gained the skills, mindset, and networks to help them influence decision-makers at all levels of government for the betterment of their communities.

The Seminar is a non-partisan, non-profit organization with a mission of “Opening the Doors of Government to Everyone”. As has been made starkly clear over the past few months, access to decision-makers has rarely been more important than in these difficult times, and the Seminar strives to level the playing field for these diverse communities.

Three times a year, we offer a six-week legislative training course for leaders & activists who live in, and work with, underserved communities so that they might more effectively advocate for their communities and the issues they care about.

Over 90% of our nearly 2,000 alumni are from communities-of-color, over 71% of our graduates are either immigrants or New Americans, and 68% are women.

We hope you can join us Monday, June 23rd to help us celebrate both Leverett's work at the Seminar and our Champions of Inclusion.
