Jessica Barsheshet – Manager, Michal Negrin
Michal Negrin, located in the North Market Building at Faneuil Hall Marketplace has been selling items featuring a unique lifestyle for more than two decades with hand-made vintage-inspired designs, including jewelry, fashion, home décor and accessories that are ageless, feminine and therefore “timeless.” The brand has been around since 1988 and has more than 65 international concept stores in many countries, with Faneuil Hall Marketplace being the only Boston area location.
Store Manager Jessica Barsheshet has been a fan of the Israeli designer since she was 20 years old. When she and her husband, Tzion, found out they were moving to Boston from Israel, they called up the designer and asked if she was interested in opening a location at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. They both were thrilled when Michal Negrin agreed to the new location.
Jessica has been working at Michal Negrin for almost 10 years now and says she loves all the history at the Marketplace with historic Faneuil Hall and the Quincy Market Rotunda. Her favorite activity is to sit outside on the bench with a cup of coffee and take in the hustle and bustle of the Marketplace.
She says the store attracts all ages from young girls to older women, locals to tourists from Europe to Asia. Many tourists are already coming in to purchase gifts for next Christmas. When asked her secret to success, Jessica said “It’s magical here. We are unique and different and every piece is homemade.”
What are some of the most popular items? Earrings, necklaces and bracelets. When it comes to the dresses, the black and white dress – pictured above – has been flying off the racks. Be sure to stop in before Mother’s Day for a unique and classic gift to show mom how much you love her!
